IF YOU VOTE AT NORTH MIANUS, YOU ARE IN DISTRICT 12
Support RTM candidates who have children
and grandchildren in Greenwich public schools.
The Greenwich RTM has 230 members, the third largest legislative body in the country. It requires members to work together to run our wonderful town.
Our RTM District 12 non-partisan, fifteen-person team, represents +100 years of combined experience. We represent both political parties, independents, and unaffiliated voters. And yes, we all get along! If you vote at North Mianus School, we represent you!
There is a far-right group of extremists trying to take over the RTM. Even the New York Times has gotten word: "...Trumpism had taken root. In 2022, a hard-right faction took over the Republican Town Committee — and are now planning to seize control of the Representative Town Meeting, the 230-member (!) legislative body whose powers include final say on any municipal expenditure over $5,000." - NYT, 10/23/23
Don’t be fooled by extremists in Town who call themselves “Sensible Greenwich” and “True Fiscal Responsibility.” They are NOT non-partisan. They never intend to fund our schools, playing fields, athletic facilities, skating rink, parks, beaches, or make our schools ADA compliant. They vote by party not for what our community needs. Out of 16 opponents, only 2 share a total of 6 years’ experience. The rest have none!
You can pull this page up on your phone or bring our postcard in with you when you vote at North Mianus School. Be sure to turn over your ballot, and circle ONLY these candidates:
We look to plan for the future of the town we all love. We base our decisions on what our community needs and wants. We voted to approve a new Central Middle School, and to fund repairs at North Mianus School when the ceiling fell. We support all facets of the current plan to renovate Old Greenwich School and look forward to finally making it ADA compliant!
We represent you on these committees: Appointments; Budget Oversight; Budget Overview; Claims; Education; Finance; Health and Human Resources; Labor Contracts; Land Use, Legislative and Rules; Parks and Rec; Public Works; Town Services; Transportation. We welcome all voters to join us in solving today’s problems while planning for our future.
